Set of social indicators: tools for appropriate governance and support to the local managers on integration policies

Luigi Mauri, CEO of Synergia, took part in the European seminar Cross-sectional policies and local planning for migrants integration: which are the implementation strategies? that took place in Namur on 8 and 9 november 2010,  with the discussion paper Set of social indicators: tools for appropriate governance and support to the local managers on integration policies.
The paper attached discusses the importance of the "local dimension" for the migration policies and the issue of the multidimensional approach to integration. In this prospective the paper examines the role of the monitoring activities based on sets of social indicators and the importance of the use of these tools in the context of the Social Observatories on migration for the support to the local managers policy making.
