Synergia and the University of Geneva at the “Population Study Days 2013” of the Statistical Italian Society
The paper
The active ageing and the socio-demographic condition of the population aged 50 and over in Provincia di Bolzano: evidence from a social survey (by G. Viganò and D. Bolano, 2012) has been accepted for presentation by the Italian Association for the Study of Population (SIS-AISP). The paper will be presented at the Faculty of Training Science of Bressanone in the frame work of the
Population Study Days that will be held from February 6, 2013 to February 8, 2013.
The Population Study Days, held every two years, is one of the most important initiatives of the Italian Association for the Study of Population (SIS-AISP). On that occasion, Italian and international leading experts and scholars, the National Institute of Statistics (ISTAT) and other national and governmental agencies, come together to present completed, planned, and ongoing research and to provide an opportunity for comparison across a broad overview of the issues currently debated about population and society. Conferences are based on parallel sessions, which in later editions have received voluntary contributions of more than 20 subject areas.
The paper will be presented by the authors Giovanni Viganò (Synergia, Bocconi University (Milan) - Department of Decision Sciences) and Danilo Bolano (
University of Geneva – Institute for Demographic and Life Course studies).
